Weekend Eats: Tuna Two Ways

The theme of this weekend's eating seemed to focus around raw tuna. Strange as this may seem, all the tuna I consumed was impeccably fresh, perfectly seasoned and totally yummy. You really can do so many things with tuna! YAY!...

Friday Night:
Seaweed topped with sushi rice and tuna (marinated in sesame oil, soya sauce, rice wine vinegar and toasted sesame seeds). Garnished with: avocado, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, spicy mayo.
'Girls Night In' consisted of ordering sushi grade Tuna (that had flown in from the Philippines that morning) and making Spicy Tuna "Tacos"...a.k.a. messy, and absolutely delicious, hand rolls. For more on this check out my friend Tay's Blog Love in Spoonfuls.

Saturday Night:
Fried toastada topped with marinated tuna, rounds of green chili, julienned radish, crispy fried shallots and sparkling citrus and yuzu mayo.
The Tuna Ceviche from Grand Electric, a new hot spot in Toronto...that plays hardcore rap while you eat! For more info, check it out here.
